The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) has announced its inaugural Softball All-Sportsmanship Team. Eleven players were selected to the 2009 squad, including Rhodes junior third baseman Jennifer Whatley.

The SCAC placed a special emphasis on sportsmanship this year – asking all fans of the conference to exhibit good sportsmanship at all conference functions throughout the 2008-2009 season.

Whatley, an All-SCAC Honoree at third base as a sophomore, was a valuable leader this season for the Lynx as a  team captain, helping lead the Lynx to a school record 29 wins and a Runner-up finish at the SCAC Championships.  She was voted as the team's choice by the Lynx coaching staff to receive this honor due to her outstanding sportsmanship both on and off the field for the Lynx.
